This project is both an example of intricate design for large-scale industrial construction as well as the management, delivery and set up of extremely valuable manufacturing equipment.

In 2007, we were selected to design and build this substantial facility, one of Central Florida’s most significant construction projects completed in 2008 — the new industrial factory for Mitsubishi Power Systems, Inc. (MPS).  KZF Design was responsible for architectural and structural design while H.J. High handled all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil, fire protection and solar design. (more…)

From Flower Pots to Blooming Business.

When you buy a plant from your local nursery, you likely don’t give much thought to the plastic pot in which it’s delivered. Well, neither did we. That is, until Nursery Supplies, Inc. (NSI), the largest supplier of plastic pots for the agricultural industry, approached us to expand their operations in Florida. As we discovered, plastic flowerpots are big business and this was a big project. (more…)

National Freightways: Office and Warehousing

The project consists of a new 359,000 sf warehouse distribution center using 34’ and 38’ high tilt wall construction. The distribution center incorporates dock high floors and 44 receiving doors. The project includes 30-foot clear height, 6 inches reinforced concrete floor, ESFR sprinklers, 130 trailer spaces, and 102 automobile spaces located on a 20-acre fenced site.

Florida Food Service: Distribution Center, Offices and Warehouse

Spaces include 12,000 sf of dry storage, 17,000 sf of freezer/cooler space, a 7,000 sf dock and 5,500 sf of office space.

McDonnell Douglas Astronautics: Tomahawk Cruise Missile Depot Facility and Building 444 Addition

The Tomahawk Cruise Missile Depot Facility includes a new 58,200 sf component assembly manufacturing facility with testing areas.  Construction is a two-story steel frame with insulated metal panels.  Extensive interfacing with the existing plant was required.

The Building 444 consists of a two-story 22,000 sf addition.  The building is steel framed, tangible construction designed to receive a computerized robotic paint booth.

Invenex Laboratories: Manufacturing Facility

The manufacturing facility is used for the production of sterile, glass-containerized, saline injectable solutions for hospital use. The building contains corporate offices, plant offices, clean process, control laboratories, and a warehouse/distribution center.
