McGregor Baptist Church Grace Building was constructed on the church’s main campus in Ft. Myers, Florida. The one-story building includes a middle school, competition basketball gymnasium with spectator seating for 850 fans, a physical fitness center and associated locker rooms, a multi-purpose practice gym and youth assembly auditorium with a stage and related audio/projection video/lighting features. There is also an administration and classroom facility for the middle school and youth activities.
Unique to this building is the “funky industrial” design for the youth. Envision exposed building structural and mechanical components painted with bold colors, stained concrete floors, high intensity warehouse lights, undulating floating suspended ceiling elements bordered with neon and LED lights, suspended two-way projection screens, plasma screens, video game arcade, and a sound system to beat the best trunk thumpers one can imagine.
