New Home for OPD’s Horses

H. J. High Construction completed the new Equestrian Facility for the Orlando Police Department’s Mounted Patrol Unit. The project was a Design/Build with Rhodes + Brito Architects. Situated on a 2.5 acre site across from the new Orlando Police Department Crime Scene Facility (also constructed by H. J. High), the Equestrian Facility contains a new fully-outfitted 5,400 SF, 8-stall stable with administrative and support space, and a connected wash wing. The facility houses OPD’s six Percheron/Thoroughbred mix horses. The complex also includes on-site exercise and training facilities.
